Kljub času počitnic, smo dijakinje drugega letnika, programa cvetličar, Kmetijske šole Grm in biotehniške gimnazije, v sklopu PUD-a, urejale okolico Varstveno delovnega centra v Novem mestu. Prostor bodo krasile manj zahtevne rastline, kot so lonicera in lovorikovec, v senci se bodo bohotile različne sorte host, vročemu poletnemu soncu pa se bodo nastavljale sivke in ameriški slamniki. Zasadile smo tudi tri visoke grede. V njih prevladujejo dišavnice, kot so pehtran, bazilika, origano, timijan; zasadile pa smo tudi cimet in limonsko travo. Na enem predelu smo na novo posejale travo, ki je v letošnjem deževnem vremenu zelo hitro vzkalila. Upamo, da bodo odslej varovanci še bolj uživali v vonju in barvah čudovitih rastlin.
